Block Paving — how we build it.
Block paving lives or dies on the sub-base. We excavate to the right depth, lay compacted Type 1, set the edge restraints in concrete, and lay the blocks on a screeded sharp-sand bed. Marshalls-accredited installers, with a finish that holds up to vehicle loading for decades.
What we do on site
- Excavation to depth, geotextile if needed, Type 1 sub-base compacted in lifts
- Concrete-haunched edge restraints around the full perimeter
- Block laying to the chosen pattern (herringbone, stretcher, basket-weave)
- Kiln-dried sand swept into joints; whole drive cleaned and finished
When this is the right call
- New driveway with a hard-wearing, repairable finish
- Patio in a domestic garden where vehicles may also park
- Replacement of failing concrete or tarmac
- Decorative inlays, banding or feature courses
