Sandstone Patios — how we build it.
Natural stone has a quality you can't fake — the colour variation, the texture, the way it weathers in. We lay sandstone on a full mortar bed (not five-spot), set falls correctly so it sheds water, and finish with a brushed-in resin jointing compound that resists weeds and moss.
What we do on site
- Concrete or compacted sub-base, depending on the application
- Full mortar-bed laying of every slab — no five-spot bedding
- Calibrated or hand-cut Indian sandstone in the colour of your choice
- Resin-jointed finish, falls set to drain freely
When this is the right call
- Domestic patio in a setting where the finish matters
- Garden landscaping with steps, raised areas or feature walls
- Replacement of an old concrete patio or slabbed area
- New courtyard, side path or seating terrace
